8861 NEW NAMES ADDED IN THE ELECTORAL ROLL

Panaji (Goa) As many as 8861 new names were added to the voters electoral roll, which was published today. Nearly 13,431 names were also deleted from the roll following request from the voters.

As on date, the total number of people eligible to cast their votes are 11,19,777.

As per the press statement released by the Chief Electoral Office (CEO), of the total electoral population of 11,19,777, male population consists of 5,49,893  while the female voters are at the higher side with 5,69,884.

Vasco has the highest voters population with 35,922 electorates, while St Andre ranks last having 20,844 voters. Vasco constituency also has the highest male (18,550) and female (17,372) voters. While St Andre has the lowest male population (9639), Mormugao constituency ranks last in female voters (10,443).

Ponda constituency recorded the highest number of voters’ registration that is 889 voters, while the lowest was in Calangute-357. Taleigao constituency saw names of 614 being deleted.

The highest increase in voters is witnessed in Cortalim constituency (660) while the lowest is in Mormugao (67).
