After Jharkhand, Chattisgarh and Maharashtra among few other states, the Goa government has decided to exempt tax to ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ that chronicles the life of the late Gwalior royal and BJP leader Rajmata Vijayaraje Scindia, on screen.

“The Government of Goa is pleased to exempt the Hindi film ‘Ek Thi Rani Aisi Bhi’ from the liability of payment of entertainment tax in whole, when screened in any of the theatres in the State for a period till May 22,” the government notification reads.

Superstar Amitabh Bachchan has unveiled the trailer of Hema Malini starrer-movie, which has been penned by Goa Governor Dr Mridula Sinha.

The film is based on the book, “Rajpath Se Lok Path Par”, an autobiography of erstwhile Maharani of Gwalior Rajmata Vijaya Raje Scindia, who also served as a Member of Parliament multiple times.

The movie features Hema Malini in the role of Vijaya Raje Scindia alongside Vinod Khanna. The film will be Khanna’s last on-screan appearance

The film was completed and screened in 2008, but its theatrical release was put on hold and after a series of delays, it was released last month.
