CONGRESS ASK CEO TO CHECK ON DUPLICATION OF VOTERS

Panaji (Goa) Congress candidate Girish Chodankar today approached Chief Electoral Office (CEO) with a demand to do randomization of voters in the assembly constituency of Panaji and Taleigao.

CEO is currently undertaking special camp of purifying the electoral roll.  

In his letter to CEO, Chodankar has informed about duplication of voters in the two assembly seats.

“In some parts of the Panaji assembly constituency, especially in Part No 28 and 29 there is lot of segregations among the voters of same households as well as in same compelx having enrolled their names in separate constituencies namely Panjim and Taleigao,” Chodankar said.

“This is completely illegal and bad in law,” AICC leader added.

He said that during his investigation, it was revealed that the same is been done due to political pressure.

Chodankar has urged CEO to direct the concern AEROs to do the randomization of voters of those areas and fix the jurisdiction of the two assembly constituencies.
