GOA: GOVT AGREES TO IMPLEMENT 7TH PAY TO PSEs, CORPORATIONS & AUTONOMOUS BODIES; BUT WITH CONDITIONS

Panaji (Goa): The State government has decided to consider implementation of Seventh Pay Commission recommendations to PSEs, corporations, autonomous bodies on case-to-case basis.

The organizations will have to submit a detail proposal focusing on major aspects that is additional revenue generation measures to meet the liability for payment of revised pay structure, activities conducted by the organization and staffing strength to be government before January 31, 2018 for consideration.

The State Government, through a circular issued on Monday, has said that it will consider implementing Seventh Pay Commission to PSEs, Corporations and autonomous bodies, whose pay scales were last revised in 2010.

“This matter was under active consideration of the government for some time now and government has decided to consider implementing the revised pay structure to the employees functioning in PSEs, Corporations, autonomous bodies and agencies on case-to-case basis, subject to certain conditions,” Additional Secretary Finance Michael D’Souza said in the circular.

Government, however, has clarified that the revised pay structure will not be implemented to those whose staffers or employees have restored for wage dispute redressal or any other redressal before the Labour Commissioner or any other Court of law
