GOA: NOW YOU CAN CONTINUE AVAILING BENEFITS OF DDSSY IN MANIPAL HOSPITAL

Panaji (Goa)  A day after temporarily suspending the empanelment of state’s premier institution Manipal Hospital from ambitious Deen Dayal Swasth Seva Yojana (DDSSY) scheme, the United India Insurance Company Limited has lifted the suspension.

The temporary suspension of Manipal hospital as provider of DDSSY scheme had affected several hundred patients who were approaching this facility to take the benefit.

“Based on your letter dated December 01, 2017, we put on hold the temporary suspension and permit you to continue admitting or honouring the patients under DDSSY scheme till further notice from this office,” the insurance firm has written to the hospital today.

The insurance firm on December 01 had temporarily suspended  the services of the Manipal Hospital was suspended in an health insurance scheme run by the Goa government due to alleged anomalies. 

Manipal hospital has a facility located at Dona Paula near Panaji. 

The notice issued by the insurance company had said that during the audit there were anomalies in functioning of the hospital under DDSSY. 

The hospital management was asked to justify their conduct within 15 days to the company. It was also  asked not to take any further patients under DDSSY till further notice.
