GOA: STATE MACHINERY GEARS UP TO CELEBRATE LIBERATION DAY

Panaji (Goa): The State Government has geared up its machinery to celebrate the 56th anniversary of the Goa Liberation Day on December 19.

 The main state level function will be held at S.A.G. Ground, Campal, at 9.15 am where Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar will unfurl the national Flag, inspect the Parade, take the Salute and later address the people.

On the occasion, Chief Minister will also present awards to those who have contributed and excelled in different fields for their meritorious services.

Presentation of Cultural floats, national integrations songs, March past and Mass P.T. Drill by school children will also be held to mark the celebration.

Various programmes have also been planned to celebrate the Goa Liberation Day in the State at District and Taluka level.
