GOA: WINTER SESSION OF STATE ASSEMBLY TO COMMENCE FROM TOMORROW

Panaji (Goa): The four-day long winter session of the State legislative assembly will commence from Wednesday, with opposition gearing up to corner government on the contentious issues like river nationalization and coal expansion.

The Session will conclude on December 18.

Total 703 questions- 461 unstarred and 242 starred will be tabled during the session.

Four government bills, private member bills and resolutions and calling attention will be introduced.

 One bills each of revenue department (amendment to the Land Revenue Code) and Corporation department (agriculture produce) and of the town and country planning department pertaining to amendment of Infrastructure Tax to single dwelling units and TCP act on orchard land will be introduced and passed.  

The opposition has put up calling attention on the river nationalization and coal expansion projects and are likely to demand for half an hour discussion on the matter.

BJP led coalition has 23 MLAs, Congress has 16 and one NCP.
