Panaji (Goa): The Chairman of Greater Panjim PDA will be named in the New Year, said TCP Minister Vijay Sardessai today.

 “I have outlined the jurisdiction of the new PDA. The notification may come post Assembly session,” Sardessai told reporters.

He said that bifurcation of the North Goa PDA is undertaken for planned development and considering the requirement of the areas, which are growing at much faster pace.

Greater Panjim PDA will include Taleigao, Bambolim plateau and Kadamba Plateau.

When asked by when the Greater Panjim PDA will be constituted, Sardessai said “All good things happen in the New Year, so as this”.

Goa Forward party leader Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate is tipped to be the chairman of Greater Panjim PDA.
