Panaji (Goa): The congress legislative party leader chandrakant kavalekar said that the disqualification peition against its rebeĺlion and BJP minister vishwajeet Rane would be filed this week.

“The peition is ready and we are going to file it this week before the Speaker of the State Legislative Assembly Pramod sawant,” kavalekar told media persons.

He said that total three disqualification peition would be filed against Rane.

The three petitions would be filed on behalf of CLP, goa pradesh congress committee and all india Congress committee.

Rane, former valpoi MLA, had defied whip issued during the crucial floor test on the floor of the House on March 16, wherein he remained absentee from voting. He had then resigned as mla and from partu and joined BJP.
