Pune – SunLectra Auto , the automobile division of newly established and Pune based R-Sun Industries will soon be launching Solar – E Rickshaw in Pune . The product in its final stages was displayed at the recent ARAI – Itech event at Westin . The vehicle will be initially be available in two variants Bouncerr and Fightter . The vehicles are battery operated with solar roof .
Speaking on the occasion Ranjit More , Chairman R-Sun Industries said that while we are all used to conventional modes of transport based on fuel , electric mobility is going to be the future . While climate change is having a telling effect on us , it is just a matter of time when electric mobility will be a necessity . We are building a whole ecosystem around sun right from solar electric automobiles to mega solar industrial products.
He added that the two variants to be launched apart from being eco friendly will have various features focusing on design , performance and comfort. While Fighterr will be a passenger vehicle , Bouncerr will be a cargo vehicle . The solar roof will add about 20-25% range thereby paving way to more energy savings .
