GOA: LETTER THREATENS TO KILL SANATAN SANSTHA FOUNDER DR ATHAVALE, COMPLAINT FILED

Ramnathi (Ponda) Sanatan Sanstha has filed a police complaint after they received a threat to kill their founder Dr Jayant Athavale and assault the women living in their Ashram at Ramnathi, near Ponda town, 40 kms away from here.

“The letter which claims to be written by one Jamesh Annamalai was received this morning at 10.30 a.m. through postal department,” Chetan Rajhans, Spokesman of Sanatan Sanstha.

The letter which is addressed to Rajhans threatens to eliminate Dr Athavale, the founder of the sanstha, who lives in the Ashram and assault all the women inmates.

The formal complaint against the person whose name has been mentioned was filed at Ponda police station this evening by Sanstha’s Managing Trustee Virendra Marathe accompanied by their lawyer Dr Naguesh Takbhate.

“We have received the complaint and will investigate into it,” said senior police official attached to Ponda police station.
