It’s that time of the year where people look to renew and restore their faith and beliefs. Most of us begin by setting our sites on a new year where we can start fresh and start strong. In other words we like to label it as ‘New Year’s Resolution’. Everyone looks to improve upon themselves and accomplish something or do something they haven’t done in past years. However the concept of a “New Year’s Resolution” doesn’t really appeal to me. The very fact that a person views a New Year as a Platform to start fresh doesn’t really meet with the whole idea of self improvement and improvement of others. We spend time worrying about what we’re gong to do once  the first day of a fresh year commences. Rather, why don’t we look at every day as an opportunity to get better. Why not start fresh now?  If we want to make a change or start a business or a school or whatever it be for that matter, why not start the very day we conceptualize it. We don’t have to plan at present and wait to make a difference in the future. Our time is limited. We may not see a tomorrow. Every day should be taken into consideration as a blessing and therefore we need to take action today. It doesn’t have to be something huge. It can be even the smallest things. And with all this in the mix, we tend to focus on ourselves too much rather than looking for ways where we can benefit the lives of others. In short I’m not really one for New Year’s Resolutions. However I do believe in the idea of having an everyday resolution.
