“In order to improve the ease of doing business across various RTO offices, to facilitate citizen friendly services and to reduce the queues at the RTO counters for purchase of forms, the Government of Goa has decided to make 61 forms available for free download on departmental website so as to enable the citizens to print the same for availing various services from Directorate of Transport,” Director Nikhil Desai said in a circular issued to all the assistant directors of transport today.
“In case citizens so desire, they may download the forms free of cost and submit it to th respective offices without payment of any fees. The forms shall be available in various sub offices on payment basis, till June 30, 2018 in order to enable citizens who have no access to the internet, to purchase the forms,” he further said.
The ADTs are also asked to prepare a list of unsold inventories for various forms available with sub offices within 15 days, and submit to the head office.
Many government offices in the State have taken their services online, albeit partially with the government aiming at 100 percent digitization. Revenue Department is the first to provide online services with the launch of Time Bound Delivery Services mid-last year.
