GOA RANKS 15 IN SMART CITY WORK; ONLY 4.8% OF THE PROJECT COST UTILIZED

Panaji (Goa) Only 4.8 percent of the Smart City Plan cost has been used by Goa till date, thus ranking it 15th position on the performance front among 25 States.

Goa’ capital city Panaji is been selected under Smart City Mission by the Union Ministry for Urban Development in 2015.

As per the records made available by the Ministry, the total Panjim smart city plan cost is Rs 6200 crore, however, only Rs 295 crore works are either completed or in progress.

Zharkhand tops the list followed by Gujarat.

State’s like Himachal Pradesh, Manipur and Nagaland has not undertaken a single project till date.
