Dabolim  (Goa): A fighter jet crashed at Dabolim airport little while ago. Fortunately the pilot escaped unhurt as the MiG flight crashed and caught fire.

The fire fighters are on the spot dousing  flames. The incident reported just 10 minutes prior to the commencement of civil flight operations at around 12.20pm due to which routine civilian flights operations at Dabolim are now likely to be affected.

“All flights are likely to be delayed at Goa Airport as the runway is closed for operations due to Indian Navy’s urgent operational requirements,” an official statement by Airport Authority of India stated.

Sources have however said that due to the incident all departures from Dabolim airport have been delayed.
