PANAJI (GOA)
Arjun Fallary is poised for a triple crown while Yash Kunkalienker, Yasmin Sayed, Sushil Nayak and Rudra Dukle are vying for double crowns each, at the 12th Manohar Dhond Memorial Major Ranking Badminton Tournament, organised in collaboration with Goa Badminton Association and the SAG, at Indoor stadium, Campal. Arjun almost made it into his fourth finals but lost the Under 19 Boys singles narrowly to second-seeded Yash Kunkalienker in a close hard fought match. In the other Under 19 boys semis, top seed Aashrun Gautam was in control as he breezed past Parth Kantak with comfortable ease. In Under 19 Girls singles finals, Yasmin will face the stiff challenge of top seed Anjana Kumari. The Under 17 Boys singles will be a tough contest between Shushil Nayak and Arjun Fallary who have won one title a piece in this category this season while Aahana Nayak will play her maiden finals in the Under 17 Girls section where she will be up against top-seeded Yasmin Sayed.
