PARRIKAR URGES UNION MINES MINISTER TO ABOLISH EXPORT DUTY ON MEDIUM GRADE ORE

Panaji (Goa) In a bid to help out the iron ore mining industry the Goa government has urged the Union Ministry of Mines to drop the export duty on the 60Fe content grade ore, thus making it competitive for export.

Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today raised the issue with Union Minister for Mines Narendra Singh Tomar.

Parrikar said that he has raised the issue with the Minister to abolish export duty on ore upto 60Fe content.

Chief Minister also urged Minister to give the State relief from 20 million ore production cap, annually.
