Ponda  (Goa): One Ravindra Sudhakar Matker,  resident of Bethora has been arrested for allegedly illegally storing  stacks tobacco products at his residence like.  The amount of the contraband substance is valued at a whopping Rs 20.16 lakh. 

 

“Accused Ravindra was caught red handed while having stored contraband/banned tobacco products worth Rs 20,19,600 at his residence. The products were for the purpose of selling/distribution to his customers and we have seized it for investigation propose,” SP Crime Branch Kartik  Kashyap said. 

 

The sleuths have registered an offense under section 87 F of Goa Public Health Amended Act 2005. The accused has been remanded to one day Police custody.
