Panaji (Goa) The long forgotten former chief minister Laxmikant Parsekar hogged limelight again. This time Goa Forward Party took cognizance of his statement questioning silence of Vijai Sardesai in the past over the demand to install Dr Jack Sequeira’s statue. This is what party’s chief spokesman Trojano D’Mello had to say in a press conference today:

He is a Lion as Vijai has always Stood for 3Gs (Goem, Goemkar and Goemkarponn) & his family (uncle) having been active in opinion poll has always been for recognition of heroes of opinion poll unlike Parsekar’s relatives from Mandrem who must have been for merger.

Parsekar is aggrieved that many of his anti-people decisions have been reversed by this government at behest of Goa Forward.

He doesn’t have to teach us politics. In fact he has to learn the meaning of developmental politics from us. He was inebriated with power so much so that his shameful defeat by a record margin must have been a record for any sitting chief minister in any state of the country.

Normally there is some self imposed exile that follows with such a unprecedented defeat. As Ram Bhakt he should know what is vanvas.

The concept of atonement of sins applies to politicians too. Unfortunately in Parsekar’s case it has not even been 1 year and here this disgraced politician has begun started fishing in troubled waters to see if yet another election can be foisted on the people of Goa.

His tenure has been marked by unprecedented competition and sellout of Goa. This lack of knowledge of administration is reflected in his comment to the media some time ago that there is no need of Mopa PDA, when he himself was responsible for having notified it.

What to speak about a man who whilst leading the state thought of making the coconut tree ( Maad, Kalpvrusksha) into grass!

Political Affairs committee to meet this evening at Margao

To Discuss

  1. a)     Organizational matters.
  2. b)    The frightening fallout on Goa if karnataka’s brazen attempt to divert Mhadei water succeeds. This would be worse than a merger of Goa into Karnataka only due to some political considerations.
  3. c)     BJP’s response to our party’s demand for recognition to opinion poll, its stalwart and Dr. Jack de Sequeira in particular.
