Panaji (Goa): Goa Forward Party leader Durgadas Kamat has slammed former BJP minister Dayanand Mandrekar for attacking his party president Vijai Sardesai.

Mandrekar had said that the people had blackened face of Sardesai on the posters which were put up on the occasion of Asmitai Dis. The former minister had claimed that people still respect Sequeira but don’t do it for Sardesai.

Responding to the statement, kamat said that former MLA of Siolim Mandrekar’s statement against our leader Vijai Sardesai regarding blackening the banners reflects Mandrekar’s culture.

“Are these statements made to destabilize the government as these rejected garbage want to make comeback,” he said.

Kamat was till recently officer on special duty to WRD Minister Vinod Palyekar before being shifted back to the party organization.
