Pune – It was an amazing feet by school students of 45 schools of Pune and around when the made 110 thousand hand made greeting cards in 11 different regional languages ,for Armed forces deployed at Borderas mark of love and regards for their sacrifice,under Banner of “Sketchpaintxprs for India”a program of NGO B N Srivastava Foundation, Pune and presented all the cards to Maj. Gen Prithi Singh, GOC, Dakshin Maharashtra Sub Area, Pune to send to forces deployed at border.
B N Srivastava foundation took a small initiative in 2006 to connect ,budding flag bearers school children of India, to Armed forces who are working to ensure safety of our nation 24X7 and growth.Now it has become a pan India Program .Foundation is expecting another 40-50 thousand cards from Pune and around schools in next few weeks.
Children are the future of this country and by investing in children’s basic education we are contributing to the country’s development and creating a literate and self-sufficient society. The society and nation becomes growing and prospering only if it is free from all types of fear,terrorism, in filterers and other hazards. Foundation is trying to develop by creating awareness of nation security/science and technological developments amount he student community which should enough for developing self confidence that helps them to face the future with broader views.
The mission of “Sketchpaintxprs for India”is to show national pride through the Arts and instill commitment and appreciation of the Armed forces,Para Military,ISRO,Atomic energy through creativity of youth.
The students have made greetings in 11 regional languages as adviced by Army chief General Bipin Rawat during felicitation of Principala and Art teachers of selected 14 schools and 2 Arts colleges.
The main Architect of this program is Mrs J Venkatraman,Principal SNBP Internationa,Rahatani,winner of Field Marshall Sam Manekshaw Trophy,who alone prepared around 45 thousand cards by school students and motivated other 32 schools of Maharshtra to add another 40 thousand cards,Another adds are Pincipal-Army Public School,Khirkee-7000 cards,Principal-DAV Aundh-3000 crads, Principal-Jai Hind High schools- 3000 cards, Principal-Kangaroo kids,Pimple saudagar-700 cards, Principal-DAV Public school,Khunti,Jharkhand,-4000 plus cards, Principal-Barness school & Jr College Devlali,Nasik-1400.
