Panaji (Goa) Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar today announced to achieve six percent growth in the agriculture sector in coming years.
Parrikar said that it has been his endure to push for agriculture growth to six percent in coming years.
“This financial year it should be around five percent. From a negative growth of around 4 percent in 2011-12 to positive growth of five percent and now trying for six plus is a big achievement for the State of Goa,” he stated.
Chief Minister was speaking while addressing the State Credit Seminar 2018-19 organized by NABARD in the Capital city.
“Doubling farmers’ income by 2022 has to be in real terms and that is the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” he said.
Parrikar said that doubling of farmers income will help in national growth and nation building.
