Cracking a whip at prostitution rackets in Goa, Crime Branch rescued a woman who was trafficked from Bihar for the purpose of sex racket in the coastal tourism state, this afternoon. The pimp, a non-Goa from Karnataka has been arrested for the offense.

Details shared by the raiding team reveals that Gokul Rathod, a 21 year old youth from Bijapur district was waiting near an authentic Goan cuisine restaurant at Anjuna, along with the 30-year-old for their customer. It was n fact a trap laid on him based on a tip off. “When the team the spot the man was found with the victim. He was immediately arrested and the woman is rescued,” PI Rahul Parab, the investigating officer said.

He has been arrested under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and Immoral Traffic (Prevention) Act.
