GOA: THOUSANDS OF DEVOTEES ATTEND RATH OF SRI MANGUESH

The temple premises of Mangueshi temple echoed with the chants of Har Har Mahadev, on the early morning of February 2, when thousands of devotees attended the yearly Rath (pulling of chariot around the temple).

The yearly Rath/Jatra of Sri Manguesh is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotees and mahajans of Sri Manguesh from in and around Goa come in large numbers to attend the chariot (Rath) pulling ceremony.

Devotees come as early as 3:00 am in the morning and make a coconut offering to the Rath of Sri Manguesh before it is taken in a procession around the temple.
