GOA: NO NEED TO PANIC, PARRIKAR ON MINING VERDICT

Panaji (Goa): Chief Minister Manohar Parrikar has said that there is no need to panic over SC judgment on the mining.

“At this moment according to my information there is nothing applicable until March 15. I don’t want to comment anything unless I go through it and find out what it is and what should be done,” Parrikar said.

He said that the “in their judgment, I understand, that court has also said that the option not necessarily be bidding.”

“That means there are different possibilities which are open. The order do not come from effect from tomorrow so there is no need to panic,” the chief minister said.

Parrikar said that the State will decide its stand in next two-three days after speaking to the legal advisors.

He said that the State will issue clear written statement on the issue in next two-three days
