It’s not every day that a publisher approaches me with the opportunity to do something like this, so after much waffling, fretting, nail-biting and wrestling with “fear of judgment”, I’ve bitten the bullet, sat down at my laptop and decided to say hello.
I’m Cassie.
I was born and raised in the heart America, but now I live in a suburb of one of the most densely populated places in East Asia (Tokyo, Japan). I have a daughter, a dog, and a husband. I’m very confused about my “occupation” these days, so I’ll simply label myself a “maker”.
I have so many things I want to say, a whole stack of soap boxes I want to stand upon and shout from, and even more odd little anecdotes to relate and experiences to share.
Most importantly, I’d like to have a conversation. So, stop here, and scroll down a bit…. little further…
Yep….
Just there, That box that says “Leave A Reply”…
Use that box!
In my adopted tongue, we say something at this point that makes absolutely no sense unless you are Japanese.

“douzo yoroshiku onegaishimasu”
In short… “Let’s be friends”.
