Panaji (Goa): In a major war of the words with Congress, state Health Minister Vishwajit Rane has threatened to make register book of Congress legislative party to prove disloyalty of leader Chandrakant Kavlekar.

“Kavlekar is a joker. During last five years he did not attend a single meeting of CLP. I can make register book of CLP public, which will show how Kavlekar was disloyal to the party,” Rane told reporters here.

The former Congress legislator who is currently minister in Parrikar-led cabinet was reacting to the media statement by Kavlekar. The latter had called former a joker.

Rane said, “the cupboard of Kavlekar is full of skeletons which needs to be investigated by central agencies.”

The Minister was referring to anti-corruption bureau’s investigation against Kavlekar in connection with plot allotment scam when he was heading state run Industrial Development Corporation.

The Minister termed Congress as directionless and rudderless ship which can sink at any time.

He said, Kavlekar’s statement against him were just to prove his fake loyalty towards Congress, to retain Leader of Opposition post.

“On the other hand, BJP is led by able leader like Narendra Modi who is focussed and man with a vision,” he added.

“Under leadership of Modi, India will progress in a big way,” Rane commented.

The Congress party has filed disqualification petition against Rane who had resigned as MLA on March 16 when Parrikar won trust vote on the floor of the House.

The petition against Rane is filed before Goa Bench of Bombay High court which has sought to restrain him from contesting the upcoming by-poll.
