 The wait is finally over. State government today constituted the Greater Panjim planning and development authority (PDA) under the chairmanship of former Congress St Cruz MLA Atanasio ‘Babush’ Monserrate.

Panjim MLA Manohar Parrikar, Taleigao MLA Jennifer Monserrate, St Andre MLA Francis Silveria, St Cruz MLA Tony Fernandes and Cumbharjua MLA Pandurang Madkaikar are the members of the new PDA.

The Greater Panjim PDA will include Taleigao, Bambolim plateau and Kadamba Plateau.

The Sarpanch of village panchayat of Taleigao, Chimbel, St Cruz, Old Go and Curca-Bambolim-Talaulim, are other likely members of the committee.

Former senior town planner Pedro Coutinho, Mario Fernandes, businessman Vivek Angle, Raj Malik, Atrey Sawant are other proposed members of the PDA.

The notification in this regard was issued today.
