GOVERNMENT LIFTS BAN ON ALL THE DEPARTMENTAL JOBS

Panaji (Goa): In what could bring in major relief to several, the State government has lifted the ban on all those departmental jobs where the offer letters were issued to the eligible candidates before imposition of recruitment ban on November 22, 2016.

Further, Government has directed all the departments to submit the details of all those posts for which written tests were conducted and the results were either declared or awaited, for consideration on case to case basis.

Additional Secretary (Personnel) Y M Maralkar has issued an order in this regard on Monday.

Last month, Government had lifted the six month old recruitment ban.

In the first phase the ban was lifted for Grant-in-aid institutions, educational institutions, Goa Medical College, Dental College, Institute of Psychiatric and Human Behavior and Directorate of Health Services and compassionate appointment under department of personnel and Children of Freedom Fighters.

In the second phase, Government has lifted the ban on all those posts wherein the offers of appointment were issued on or before November 22, 2016 subject to any vigilance complaint pending.

“All the posts for which written exams were conducted and results were either declared or awaited, such cases shall be referred to Personnel Department for decision on case to case basis,” the order stated.

Various departments like Public works department, tourism, electricity, police, forest, Women and Child department and District Administration had either conducted written exams or had announced the result just before the ban was imposed, last year.
