Panaji (Goa) Tourism Minister Manohar Azgaonkar today assured the House to consider holding beach carnival events in near future.

He was responding to the question raised by Congress MLA Francis Silveria, who urged government to hold beach carnival to attract tourism.

“There is no such proposal before government. But you can put up the same and I will place it before the Committee for consideration,” Minister said.

Azgaonkar said that government is committed to promote carnival, which a traditional annual event of the State.
