Calangute (Goa)
Calangute police have successfully rescued a minor girl, age- 16 yrs, native of West Bengal from Calangute on 27/02/2018.
As per reports Calangute police had received information from Kumarganj PS , West Bengal that one minor girl has been kidnapped by Mr. Minajur Mondal, R/o West Bengal and also photographs of both were shared. In this connection an offence vide crime no: 27/2018 U/s 363 IPC is registered at Kumarganj Police Station, West Bengal against the accused person for kidnapping the minor girl.
Accordingly search operation was carried out and the as per the initial location police reached at the place of stay of accused. However the accused person managed to run away from the residence. Further police again gathered intelligence and it was revealed that the accused along with the minor girl is at Calangute bus stand. Further police nabbed the accused person and placed him under arrest.
The statement of minor girl was recorded by NGO Arz member Juliana and the minor girl has been lodged in Apna Ghar Merces for safe custody.
The team of West Bengal police is proceeding to Goa to obtain custody of the accused person.
The entire search operation was personally carried by PI Jivba Dalvi with assistance of PSI Sitaram Malik, LPSI Sapna Gawas, constable Vidyanand Amonkar and others.
