SICK DIG TRANSFERRED BACK TO DELHI

Panaji  (Goa): On leave for nearly three months, IPS Officer Rupinder Kumar has been transferred to Delhi with immediate effect. 

 
The 2003-batch AGMUT cadre officer was transferred to Goa in December 2016 and posted as DIG Range. He was also appointed to monitor the high level investigation into the mining scam involving politicians, bureaucrats, mines officers and individual lease holders/traders.  
 
Sources said his transfer back to Delhi is owing to his health condition however there is no official comment so far. 
 
The order by Manoj Kumar Jha, undersecretary to Government of India late last evening states, “With the approval of competent authority,  Rupinder Kumar, IPS (2003 AGMUT) is transferred from Goa to Delhi with immediate effect.”
