After Karnataka court acquitted Shree Ram Sena leader in connection with Mangalore pub attack, right wing Hindu organizations today urged Goa administration to lift the ban on the leader imposed on the leader since the year 2014.

The activists of Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) today met Additional District Collector of North Goa Vikas Gaunekar demanding to withdraw ban imposed on Muthalik and Shree Ram Sena activists in Goa.

“There has been ban on the entry of Pramod Muthalik in Goa since the year 2014. This has been initially for six months and since then was indefinitely extended after every six months,” reads the memorandum submitted to the district administration today.

“There has not been a single incident of Pramod Muthalik or any member of Shree Ram Sena in Goa disturbing communal harmony or creating law and order situation,” the memorandum has said.

The activists have pointed out that recently Muthalik and members of Shree Ram Sena have been acquitted by the court in the incident of pub attack in Mangaluru. “In fact it has been evident that the case against Muthalik was falsely filed to implicate him to harass him as a part of political conspiracy,” he said.

“Goa government should take note of this and remove this unjust ban on the chief of Shree Ram Sena Pramod Muthalik and other members and respect their fundamental right to move anywhere in this country,” the memorandum said.
