The AAP unit of Nuvem has strongly condemned the display of arrogance and unlawful attitude of Nuvem’s ex-MLA and former tourism minister Mickey Pacheco. In a statement issued here, Nuvem unit coordinator Ramiro Mascarenhas while referring to the viral video of highhandedness of the ex MLA, further said that this is yet another example of the low regard that many of our politicians have for the very citizens who elect them and they swear to protect. 

Calling upon the people of Goa to recall such episodes of MLA’s who have faced charges of heinous crimes as rape , abetement of murder,  bribery and who are involved in wanton destruction of hills, forests and coastal zones and sale of land, Mascarenhas added, that scant regard for the law has to be punished with a heavy hand by the Courts by meting out exemplary punishment. “The unpleasant gestures of the ex-MLA and foul speech is an affront to the dignity of a human ”, said Mascarenhas. It may be recalled that the Ex MLA 

has been involved in various controversies, and has criminal cases against him. In 2015, Pacheco was convicted of assaulting a government official and sentenced to imprisonment for six months, forcing him to resign from his ministerial post.
