Pune – The Army conducted a 500 km cycling expedition from 13 to 22 March 2018, through picturesque Western Ghats of Maharashtra. Lieutenant Sandeep Singh Khatana with 10 other personnel embarked on an expedition from Pune to the interiors of western Maharashtra to spread awareness about environment protection and motivate local population to join Army.
The team cycled through the Konkan and Marathwada region via Mulshi Ghat and completed the circuit covering Mandangad, Saldure, Pisavre and Bopagaon.
The cycle expedition was carried out over 10 days to mark 34th raising day of the Air Defence Unit at Pune.
