Bharatiya Janata Party and its leaders have fooled the people dependent on mining industry by indulging in theatric through its union minister Nitin Gadkari, Shiv Sena’s Goa spokesman Rakhi Prabhudesai Naik has said.
Sena has said in a press note: The party is not able to provide solution for the mining crisis, which is their own creation.
The recent visit by Gadkari to the State and entire drama of holding series of meeting with the stakeholders, coalition partners and its own leaders was merely an eye wash to avoid the backlash from the people dependent on the mining industry.
It was surprising that at the end of day-long discussion, Gadkari came to the conclusion that the legal opinion should be sought on this issue. He could have very well made this decision without coming to Goa and wasting time of the stakeholders who are currently suffering.
Gadkari’s statement comes two days after Cabinet Advisory Committee had publicly announced that the Revision Petition would be filed before the Supreme Court. The three-member-committee had also said that they will seek approval for the same from chief minister Manohar Parrikar. We also saw news that Parrikar has given the approval.
So when the entire decision to approach SC with the review petition has been taken, what is the need for the Gadkari to seek legal opinion. Does Gadkari has got powers to overrule the CAC which has our elected representatives on it.
Gadkari is not electded by people of Goa and has no right to act like de-facto chief minister.
BJP should now stop fooling people. They completely stand exposed over their inability to solve the mining issue. The people of the State have realized this and they will teach lesson to BJP and all the parties supporting it.
