PANAJI (Goa) Goa Bachao Abhiyan (GBA) has urged Town and Country {;anning (TCP) Minister Vijay Sardessai with a demand to draft a new horizon one plan 2031 for Goa and to scrape Planning and Development Areas (PDAs).

“The GBA has been tracking developments on the Regional Plan since 2006 and has seen much obfuscation of facts, and overriding amendments to Acts to create confusion,” GBA convener Sabina Martins said in the press statement issued today evening.

“The GBA demands one Plan for Goa, a new horizon plan 2031,” she said.

Sabina added that government must realize that the only way to prevent civil unrest is to involve people in planning process.

After keeping the Regional Plan 2021 on hold for over six years, the Government through an order on March 29 reviewed the plan allowing construction in settlement, commercial and industrial zones.
