Adv. Aires Rodrigues has today lodged a First Information Report (F.I.R) at the Old Goa Police Station against Mrs. Janita Madkaikar, Sarpanch of Se Old Goa Panchayat, Mr. Ashish Naik the Secretary of the Panchayat and Power Minister Pandurang Madkaikar over the missing file pertaining to the illegal 200 crore palacial bungalow recently built at Old Goa next to the Basilica of Bom Jesus by Pandurang Madkaikar who is the husband of Janita Madkaikar.

 

Adv. Rodrigues has sought that the police immediately register the F.I.R under Sections 201, 204 and 420 of IPC read with Section 120-B IPC against Janita Madkaikar, Ashish Naik, and Pandurang Madkaikar, the beneficiary and co-conspirator and to speedily investigate the same in accordance with law.

 

Pointing out that by applications filed on 4th& 5thApril, 2018 under the Right to Information Act he had sought information and inspection of the file pertaining to the construction of that bungalow by Pandurang Madkaikar, Adv. Rodrigues has in his F.I.R stated that he has been orally informed by the Panchayat officials that the file has gone missing and is untraceable which clearly amounts to an act of cheating too.

 

Adv. Rodrigues has further stated that he has bonafide reason to believe that the file through an act of cheating has been intentionally concealed or possibly destroyed by Janita Madkaikar and Ashish Naik in collusion with Pandurang Madkaikar to ensure that the gross illegalities by Pandurang Madkaikar in the construction of that bungalow are not exposed.
