Goa’s Anura Prabhu Desai has been recruited by Northern Railways, Baroda House, New Delhi, on sport scouting scheme.

Anura has joined duties in her office and her appointment is permanent. Earlier she was a contract player for Airport Authority of India from 2016-18 and Air India from 2015-16. Anura is India’s number one ranked shuttler in Women’s singles and is part of India’s Uber Cup team to Thailand. She departs along with Saina Nehwal and her other teammates from New Delhi on May 17.
