Goa’s Yash Fadte has added another feather to his cap by winning the all-India NSCI Open Squash Championship, for the third time, at NSCI club in Mumbai. This NSCI Open Squash Championship is one of the most prestigious junior squash events in India. This is the third time that the 16-year-old Vasco-boy has a won this event. Yash had previously won at NSCI in 2014 and 2016.
In the quarter-finals, Yash beat Tarun Mammen (Bangalore) 3-0. In the semi-finals, Yash defeated Maharashtra number 1 Veer Chotrani 3-1. In the finals, Yash beat Neel Joshi from Maharashtra 3-1 to clinch the title.
Yash will be representing India at the World Junior Squash Championship to be held in Chennai next month.
