Goa government has decided to crack down on ‘makeshift kitchen’ adopted by groups of tourist who visit Goa. Such groups are often seen carrying their cooking items along and cook anywhere and eat leaving the area dirty. Transport department will now keep a strict vigil on tourist vehicles that carry cylinder, kerosene and other materials while entering the state.

Director of Transport Nikhil Dessai has said that the drive against tourist vehicles will intensify and action will be taken against such tourist vehicles. “Tourists vehicles and buses will be checked when they enter the state and if any cooking material is found especially cylinders, then it will be seized and such vehicles may not even be allowed to enter the state and turned away,” Dessai said.
