A Sukhoi SU-31 fighter jet crashed near Nashik while on a sortie but both pilots on board ejected safely, official sources sinformed.

According to information available, the pilots were on a routine practice session from Nashik to Ojhar, when the plane reportedly developed technical snag and crashed in the fields of Pimple Baswant village near Nashik. The plane crashed in the fields, clear of any residential area, resulting in zero casualties from the incident.  

Top military and air force officials and police have rushed to the crash site in Maharashtra.
