PANAJI
Panaji Principle District and Sessions Court has reserved its order on anticipatory bail plea of activist Claude Alvares in Mines Department office locking case. Denying the allegation and seeking anticipatory bail, petitioner Claude Alvares contended that he has been framed in the case due to political pressure.
Opposing anticipatory bail plea of Claude Alvares, Panaji police contended that Claude led a mob and locked the office of the Mines Department and that his custodial interrogation is required to identify the persons involved and to unearth the conspiracy.
After hearing both the parties, the court reserved order for Friday afternoon.
