Hubli bound Karnataka state transport bus caught fire at Mardol last night. Driver alarmed the passengers and evacuated people after he detected smoke from the bus.

29 passengers were travelling in the bus, however, none of the passengers was harmed but the luggage was destroyed by fire. 

Fire personnel reached the site and extinguished the fire. It was found that circuit was the main reason of fire.

Another bus was called for rescue and the passengers were reached to their destination.
