Public Works Department Minister Sudin Dhavalikar has been admitted to a hospital in Mumbai, a family member informed today but refused to disclose the illness.
Sudin Dhavalikar, 61, was undergoing regular medical check-up at the hospital in Mumbai where he was admitted yesterday, his younger brother Dipak Dhavalikar told reporters.
Another family member, on condition of anonymity, said the minister underwent a biopsy for the detection of his illness.
The family refused to disclose any further details, but, according to sources, the condition of PWD minister is stable and is expected to be back to work in a few days.
Sudin Dhavalikar is the second minister from the Goa cabinet to be hospitalised in Mumbai.
