CM Manohar Parrikar today informed the State Legislative Assembly that no alternate feasible site has been finalized for shifting of casino vessels from River Mandovi as of date and the matter is under examination.

 

In a written reply in response to a question tabled by Leader of Opposition Chandrakant Kavalekar,  Parrikar said that a total of six offshore licenses had been issued by the state government for the casinos in the river. He said after April 1, 2015, two offshore licenses had been renewed by the Home Department.
