Health Minister Vishwajit Rane today informed the State Legislative Assembly that an amount of Rs 1,45,90,653 has been
collected from fees for taking benefits of various facilities at Goa Medical College and Hospital (GMC), Bambolim, by non-Goan patients since January 1, 2018.
 
In a written reply tabled in the House in response to a question asked by Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MLA Rajesh Patnekar, the minister said the government had made compulsion for payment of a minimal amount of fees for taking benefits of the various facilities at GMC Bambolim from non-Goan people or patients.
