The Congress in Goa on Sunday announced that it would not participate in Bharat Bandh on Monday instead will create awareness among the public by distributing pamphlets about rising prices of petroleum products.
In a statement here, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee (GPCC) Girish Chodankar said,”In view of Ganesh Chaturthi festival, Instead of Bharat Bandh, Goa Pradesh Congress Committee will create awareness among public by distributing pamphlets at key petrol pumps about rising prices of petroleum products and how BJP government has looted Indians by increasing prices of petrol, diesel, LPG to the extent of over Rs 11 lakh Crore.
“The peaceful protest will be from 9 am to 12 noon. Party office-bearers will participate at various petrol pumps in Goa by distributing pamphlets,” said Chodankar.
