Union minister Suresh Prabhu today said that Goa will soon have a world-class food testing facility as the state government has associated with the Commerce and Industry Ministry.
Union Minister for Commerce and Industry Suresh Prabhu said that setting up of the testing facility will rid doubts in the minds of people about the quality of fish.
Prabhu was talking to the media at the secretariat.
“The Centre and the state government have come together to ensure that all the doubts will be cleared and assure Goans that whatever they are eating is safe,” Prabhu said.
“We have got Central government agencies like the Quality Council of India and Export Inspection Agency, on board to certify the quality of fish sold in the coastal state,” Prabhu added.
