The BJP in Goa will be politically affected if mining does not restart soon, said Vijai Sardesai who is a minister in the BJP-led coalition government in Goa.

Sardesai said that Goa Forward party, which is a part of the BJP-led alliance, would be joining pro-mining protesters in Delhi during the upcoming winter session of Parliament.

“The chief minister knows the political effect his party will have to face if mining in Goa does not resume at the earliest,” Sardesai told reporters.

Sardesai also slammed the government for not being transparent with the people about the exact possibility of mining resumption.
